History of EC635 Helicopter
The Eurocopter® EC635 Helicopter was developed initially in answer to a request from the Portuguese Army which had a need for a helicopter for fire support and medical evacuation. It was first introduced in 1998 and there are currently 3 main users: Royal Jordanian Air Force, Swiss Air Force, Iraqi Air Force. There are 4 variations of the EC635: The Military version. The cilvilian version which can carry 6 passengers and a pilot. The Medial Evacuation version can carry 1 or 2 rescue baskets, with 5 seated medical workers. The cargo transport version has 4.9m³ (173.04ft³) space for cargo.
